Did you know Route 1 Print has been around for 10 years? That’s right! 10 whole years of being your trade print partner. But we didn’t become the UK’s largest trade printer overnight. It took us a lot of time and effort, with the help of our team, to get us where we are today.

With that in mind, we wanted to share some of our favourite highlights from over the years.

2012 – The year Route 1 Print came to light. When we first formed, we had only two members of staff and we were manually processing every order that came through our eBay store. You heard right, we started as an eBay store, and would you believe that we launched with just 5 print items in our product range? We launched Route 1 Print with only Flyers, Business Cards, Posters, Compliment Slips and Letterheads, now, our customers can discover over 80 print products!

2015 – A few years went by, and we found that our home in Rotherham suited us down to the ground, however, we didn’t stop growing. We quickly found that we needed more space for our stock and staff, so we had no choice but to upsize to a 100,000 sqft factory.

2018 – By the summer of 2018, we found ourselves bolstering the print industry, so we decided it was time for an upgrade. We invested £3 million in new equipment as well as upgrading our existing machines to create a smoother and more streamlined experience for our customers. 2018 & 2019 – In 2018 and 2019, we were also incredibly proud to have been the National Winner in the European Business Awards. We’ve always pushed to be the best that we can be, so when we were awarded with The Customer and Market Engagement Award, we were over the moon!

2019 – Since we had invested in our warehouse, we decided that it might be time for our website to also get some much-needed TLC.  We launched an updated homepage, and we completely reworked the way customers could build their products, all with the aim of improving the print buying service. 2020 – Skip ahead to 2020, we launched our Reseller Tools, a hub that includes everything from industry leading insight and support to time saving tools and assets. We designed these free resources exclusively with our customers in mind to help their business thrive, it’s what the modern world called for. 2021 – In 2021 we thought we’d kick things up a notch with some significant website improvements. We launched a range of useful new features to the Route 1 Print website to make the print buying process even easier for our clients. Featuring the likes of our now ever popular request a quote form, reorder, quote to order, favourites and saved artwork, we’re all about making our customers’ lives easier. 2022 –We’re super excited to be able to offer our customers over 90 product types, with millions of variations, including our exciting new book binding capabilities and branded merchandise! We may have only been around for 10 years, but we’re already looking forward to the future.
